The resale potential of the PS3 is being realised before it's even launched in the UK. Freeads.co.uk, the UK's leading independent classified site, has today seen people posting ads offering their pre-ordered consoles for sale before they have taken delivery of them - as well as a handful of PS3s from those lucky enough to get a sneak preview from Sony. Prices vary from the £425 recommended by Sony to almost double that as a buying frenzy grips the nation. Freeads.co.uk chief executive Duncan Horton said: "We're staggered that people are already selling something that is yet to launch in the UK. It just goes to show the massive level of demand for the PS3 as well as highlighting consumer impatience! I'm sure that as the days tick by and the deliveries are made our site will be swamped with them, it's the must-have item of the moment." |
