Druggie rocker Pete Doherty would be the flatmate from hell but loudmouth DJ Chris Moyles is the person people would most like to share a flat with. Alongside Kate Moss's squeeze Doherty are troubled singer Britney Spears, Victoria Beckham, opinionated X Factor judge Simon Cowell and pop stalwart Madonna on the list of 'flatmates from hell'. However London singer Amy Winehouse, American actress Cameron Diaz, chef Gordon Ramsey and presenter Dermot O'Leary were named as the five celebs people would most like to share a flat with, according to a survey by Freeads.co.uk, the UK's largest independent classified website which hosts thousands of unique property ads every day. This comes shortly after the launch of Big Brother and talk in offices, schools and pubs throughout the UK turn to irritating behaviour to live with. Doherty scooped more than half of the votes (58%) in the online survey of 2,000 people in May crowning him the 'Flatmate from hell' while Moyles took over a third (32%) of the votes in the dream flatmate category. Chief executive Duncan Horton said: "We were expecting Pete Doherty to feature highly on the flatmates from hell list but taking nearly 60% of the votes was a landslide we weren't expecting. "Looking at the list it's the celebrities with erratic behaviour patterns, are overly demanding or judgemental, which are the least popular as potential flatmates. Something that's equally true for most people in real-life when looking for a flat share. "On the flipside the more down-to-earth celebs that you imagine you could going for a pint with or shopping with that were winners in the 'flatmate from heaven' category. "Taking it a step further I'd imagine the combination of Chris Moyles, Amy Winehouse, Cameron Diaz, Gordon Ramsey and Dermot O'Leary as a group in the Big Brother house would be far more watchable than the self-obsessed humour vacuum it'd likely be with the likes of Pete Doherty and Victoria Beckham from the other group." |
