Freeads.co.uk, the UK's largest independent classified website, today announces a new partnership with 4 Digital Solutions, Channel 4's in-house, digital advertising sales agency. Freeads.co.uk is the UK's largest independent online classified advertising site with over one million users per month. The new partnership means that 4DS will manage all third party online advertising for Freeads.co.uk including onsite media, partnership emails and sponsorship opportunities with third parties across the site. Freeads.co.uk chief executive Duncan Horton said: "Teaming up with 4DS is an important part of our ambitious growth strategy as we aim to treble the number of ads on Freeads.co.uk in the coming months. We currently host more than 62,000 unique ads every day. "This is an exciting time for the online classified market. Online is the fastest-growing sector in the classified arena and Freeads.co.uk is the fastest-growing classified website in the UK. Data from analysts at Hitwise already puts our marketshare as twice the size as that of Loot.com." Peter Woodfine, Business Development Manager for 4DS, said: "We are delighted to be working with Freeads.co.uk, one of the key players in the online classifieds marketplace, to sell all its third party advertising. We believe that this dynamic and fast-moving arena is set for massive growth and working with a heavyweight such as Freeads.co.uk will help us to achieve our ambition of creating one of the UK's leading digital advertising sales agencies." Freeads.co.uk is backed by Clive Jacobs, founder of car hire giant Holiday Autos, who bought a major stake in the business in early 2007. Horton joined Freeads.co.uk at the beginning of the year, he was formerly marketing director at lastminute.com. |
